Snapform SimFit
Simulation-powered socket design

Complete a socket design in minutes, not hours. SimFit combines patient-specific anatomy with gait simulation to generate and validate the socket design.

The result: a print-ready socket, in a simple workflow.

The SimFit workflow

Patient-specific biomechanics. Your design preferences. One workflow to a print-ready socket.

Import 3D scan

Upload the 3D scan of the residual limb. SimFit accepts standard scan formats.

Create anatomy model

Align and adjust bone model with the scan.

Adjust design

Adjust your design preferences incl. brim and socket size.

Submit case

Submit the case. The CVB Engine runs the biomechanical gait simulation in the cloud and generates the socket design according to your preferences.

Download design

Download the print-ready socket file. No manual CAD work required.

Lightweight sockets

Our sockets are carefully designed and tested to be lightweight yet exceptionally strong and durable, giving patients the freedom and confidence to be active.

We provide socket designs optimised for both test and final use, utilising the FDM and SLS/MJF printing technologies.

The system is open — you are not tied to a specific printer manufacturer.

Socket design

Simulation powered

Snapform SimFit uses the CVB Engine to bring advanced simulation technology into socket design. It simulates how soft tissue and bones are loaded during movement, helping the prosthetist create a more precise, better-fitting socket.

Every design is tested across the gait cycle, analysing how soft tissue is loaded and how bones move relative to the socket — for example, how tibia is driven into the socket at heel strike.

Built in the clinic. Proven in practice.

Snapform SimFit was developed and refined through extensive use in our own clinic.

Over the past five years, we have worked with numerous patients to continuously test and improve both the software and the resulting socket designs—ensuring they perform reliably in real clinical conditions.

The result is a more consistent, scientifically grounded approach to socket design that supports better fit and improved patient mobility.

Clinic

The digital clinic

Do the design while the patient is in the clinic. The easy-to-use software lets you complete the design and prepare it for manufacturing within a single appointment.

The Snapform SimFit workflow enables a modern digital clinic powered by low-cost 3D printing, removing the need for expensive manual fabrication and large workshops. The output files are ready to print.
